While New Yorkers have been consumed by the stock market meltdown, a tiny little pet store quietly opened four days ago at 89 7th Avenue between West 4th and Bleeker Street in the West Village of New York City.
There are no puppies or kittens in the windows here.
Instead, a live leopard lounges on a tree in the window.

ACRONYM munichs finest

Since a few years we are discretely following the development of our “neighbor” ACRONYM (from Munich of course) and i must admit we are huge fans and addicted since we first found a jacket at Kostas Murkudis, Berlin. Too sad, but fact, that munich’s retail landscape sucks so much, that you have to go outside to find the area’s greatest outputs. Labels such as Acronym, Nat-2, MayBe jeans, K1X (most people don’t even know that this brand is from Munich and is owned by the people of KICKZ store, but think it is american) and many more are more underground in their hometown, then in the rest of the world. What happened to the good old santa-cruz’s slogan “support your local brand/dealer”? Munich’s retailers rather rock “eye-cancer”-causing s**t such as Ed Hardy, Philip Plein and Seven for all Mankind.
